Description:
Drum filters or vacuum filters have been used for filtration of various materials from slurry including protein and impurities filtration from glucose. As the drum rotates, it is partially submerged in the feed slurry. Vacuum draws liquid through the filter medium on the drum surface which retains protein and impurities. The vacuum pulls glucose through the cake formed on the top of the drum as filtration media.
