Description:

Gravity Arc Screen is an essential piece of equipment used for the efficient dewatering of coarse particles from liquids and slurries in the starch production industry. Each gravity arc screen features a curved concave screen surface housed in a compact unit, where feed liquid is evenly distributed. As the liquid flows down the screen by gravity, coarse materials are dewatered on the screen surface, while the liquid and finer solids pass through the slots and are separated. The dewatered coarse materials are discharged at one end of the screen through an overflow discharge, while the screened liquid is collected in an underlying trough.

Gravity arc screens are versatile, serving a wide range of applications such as separating, sieving, dewatering, washing, and removing impurities in starch processing. Depending on the specific application, these screens can be customised in terms of size and material, with options available in fully stainless steel 304 or 316L. Despite their simple design, gravity arc screens play a crucial role in the overall efficiency of starch processing operations.
