Pressure Arc Screen

Pressure Arc Screen

Applications

  • 01 Separation of corn starch from fibre.
  • 02 Washing and dewatering of both coarse and fine fibres.
  • 03 Washing of corn germ.
  • 04 Starch extraction processes for cassava, potato, and wheat.

Description:

Pressure Arc Screen is an essential component in the starch production industry, designed for the efficient screening of starch slurry. It effectively separates starch granules from debris and impurities such as fibre and germ under high pressure, playing a critical role in ensuring product purity. These screens are particularly useful for the counter-current washing of fibrous material and gluten, enabling very fine separation with highly polished wedge wire screen surfaces when operating under proper pressure.

Pressure arc screen is equipped with a top feed manifold featuring multiple nozzles that evenly distribute the feed across the surface of each screen. The screen itself consists of a bent stainless-steel surface with a series of wedge-shaped wires welded together to form narrow openings within a closed housing. Pressurised feed is introduced tangentially to the screen surface, flowing across the bent screen. The screened liquid passes through the screen, while oversize materials are continuously dewatered as they move across the screen and are eventually discharged through the overflow hopper.

Features:

  • Long service life with easy maintenance.
  • Simple, compact design requiring minimal installation space.
  • Low installation costs with high efficiency.
